Unique location, bespoke Gin.

Some places are too special for ordinary gin.

When you taste Bastion Gin at a fort, within fortress walls, at a historical location, the context matters. Those walls, that view, that moment – they turn Bastion Gin from a gin into the taste of where you are.

Bastion Gin is crafted in small batches by The Stillery in Amsterdam, using 9 carefully selected botanicals. But it only finds its home in unique historical locations – forts, fortified cities, UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Where to find Bastion Gin? Exclusively at special locations and through special resellers, online and offline.

Bastion Gin - Flavor Profile.

Small-batch distilled by The Stillery Amsterdam.

9 Botanicals. 3 Worlds. 1 Perfect Balance.

🍋 CITRUS - The Opening

Fresh. Vibrant. Inviting. The first sip is light. Fresh lemon dances with the exotic sharpness of kaffir lime. Bergamot adds depth - a hint of tea, a touch of refinement. Then comes lemongrass: crisp, green, like walking through an Asian garden.

🌸 FLORAL - The Soul

Soft. Elegant. Unexpected. As the citrus settles, the blossom emerges. Elderflower - as Dutch as it gets. Not sweet, not heavy. Just... beautiful.

đŸŒŋ SPICY - The Finish

Warm. Rich. Lasting. The spices arrive. Cardamom brings bite. Coriander seed delivers warmth. Angelica root provides that earthy depth that makes craft gin craft.

Juniper? Of course. The foundation. But here it's not the star - it's the bedrock everything rests on.

The result: A gin that opens bright, blooms elegantly, and finishes with warming complexity.

Historic Perspective: Bastions & The Dutch Water Defence Lines

Water as an ally. The locations where Bastion Gin is served often form part of the Dutch Water Defence Lines – a unique system where water and Bastions worked together to create an impenetrable defense.

What makes a Bastion special? These ingenious five-pointed star fortifications were the "smart technology" of their era. Born in Renaissance Italy, bastions solved a critical problem: medieval round towers created deadly blind spots where attackers could hide.

Dutch engineers perfected the design, integrating bastions into their water defense network. These water defense lines, including the Stelling van Amsterdam and the Dutch Water Defense Line, are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Today, they're living monuments where history meets hospitality.

Bastion Gin honors this heritage not with history lessons, but with quality that matches the place.
